Description
Departure from the Maison du tourisme of Spa Hautes Fagnes Ardennes.
The hiker soon gains height to reach a viewpoint overlooking the town and then descends to the Lake of Warfaaz.
Along the way, you will pass by the springs of the Tonnelet, Barisart, Sauvenière, Groesbeek and Géronstère, while following paths with pontoons and duckboards along small streams with picturesque names such as "la Picherotte", "la Sauvenière", "le ru du Pendu",…
This route takes you through magnificent forest areas including the Tahanfagne Arboretum and the Berinzenne estate, its forest and water museum and its impressive 22-metre high panoramic tower, that offers an unrestricted view of the landscape of the Fagne (fen) of Malchamps and the surrounding forests.
