Délaissée par les loups qui fréquentaient autrefois les gorges de Courgoul, cette paisible randonnée évolue entre rivière et plateau. Le petit patrimoine est fort présent : moulin, chapelle de Marcenat, église de Courgoul, croix sculptée (XIIe s) à la Valette, fontaines, anciennes granges, pont gallo-romain, fours.
