The Château de lEsclinchamps (Esclinchamps Castle), a magnificent group of brick and stone buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Formerly owned by a branch of the Poschet
or Polchet family, renowned local forgemasters. The group was also owned by the Simon family, notaries in Sivry. Later, the property was acquired by Mr Guillick, who assembled several cars of the same
name there. The factory was in Maubeuge. In 1934, the Knops family bought the buildings and made it their first "country property" or second home in Sivry.
