This former hotel was built by the Baron d’Huart around 1900. The baron exploited the Saint-Remacle woods, which necessitated a lot of manpower, making it necessary to bring in workers from outside the village. A solution had to be found to put up the workers, but also to accommodate passing travelers. This flourishing hotel-restaurant was turned into the village pub in 1932 and was – as was the railway station by the way – occupied by the Germans
