On your left, opposite the wooden bridge, you can see the ‘Trou de Han’, where the Lesse reappears for the first time after its underground course. The time it takes the river to perform its underground route is measured by adding dye to the water. Depending on its debit, it takes the Lesse anything from 8 to 11 hours to cross the distance between the Belvaux sink hole and the ‘Trou de Han’, where it resurfaces. The cannon shots you can hear booming announce the visitors leaving the cave by the hang bridges over the river.
