You are now on the Square Crépin that used to be called the ‘Garden of the Counts’ or ‘The big garden’. This used to be the Castle orchard and was christened Square François Crépin’ in 1904, as homage to the famous botanist and author of the often reprinted ‘Belgian Flora’. François Crépin was born in Rochefort in 1830. Notice the bust and the bandstand where brass bands used to give concerts in the summer
