The Saint-Hadelin fountain is not your usual fountain; it is called this because the villagers used to come here to get running water until 1953 when tap water became available throughout the village.
It’s actually a resurgence: where the stream resurfaces after flowing underground for about three kilometers. The fountain was named after the eponymous Saint because of a number of miraculous cures that have been attributed to the fountain. In days gone by, it was a place of pilgrimage for people wanting to cure (or prevent) childhood diseases.
