Along a very picturesque town canal, you will find 'Café Vlissinghe', which is obviously a very pleasant place to finish the tour... with a beer!
There are over a hundred different pubs and bars in the historical centre of Bruges, so the choice is as good as unlimited! Popular pubs, small eateries, dancing pubs, beer pubs... each of them has its own specificity. 'Café Vlissinghe' is known as the oldest pub in Bruges: it first opened in 1515 already, and has never stopped since! In 'Café Vlissinghe' you can find numerous traditional beer brews, and enjoy the warm-hearted atmosphere. Weather permitting, you can also enjoy the very pleasant terrace in the gardens.
Besides the beer already mentioned, other brews are still produced in Bruges or the nearby area (and others have their names related to Bruges), such as the 'Basilius', 'Bourgogne des Flandres' (lager and dark), 'Brugge Tripel', 'Brugse Babbelaar', 'Brugse Bok', 'De Garre Tripel', 'Den IJzeren Arm', 'De Witte Zwaan', 'Galbert van Brugge', 'Steenbrugge' (lager, dark, stout, white and 'Abdij Bock)...
