'Noordzandstraat' is another well-known commercial street in the old town, which runs more or less parallel to 'Zuidzandstraat', and where you will find again most famous names and renowned brands. Here and there along the street, and in adjacent, narrower ones, you can also discover smaller shops offering typical regional or local products. Typical sweets which you can find here are, amongst others, candies (in all possible shapes, sizes and colours!), Belgian waffles... A few bakery specialities are also known from Bruges, such as the 'Brugs Beertje' (Little Bear of Bruges), 'Brugse achten' (the 'goods' of Bruges), 'Brugs beschuit' (biscuit from Bruges), 'Brugse sigaretjes' (Bruges cigarettes), 'Brugse kletskoppen' (Bruges gossipers), 'Brugse mokken' (Bruges sulkies)...
