From the top of the hill where the third wind mill stands ('Sint-Janshuismolen', dating back to 1770), you can see the quiet compound of the 'Schuttersgilde Sint-Sebastiaan' (Marksman Gild of Saint-Sebastian) with the nice garden and the elegant tower. The gild was created more than 600 years ago, and has remained active since. The so-called 'Koningszaal' (King's Room) can be visited (opening times depending on the days of the week and the seasons), together with the gardens. Although bow shooting is exclusively restricted to the 120 male members of the gild, 'Schuttersgilde Sint-Sebastiaan' has two outstanding female members, namely Queen Mathilde of Belgium, and... the Queen of England! (there has been a strong relationship between the British Court and the Town of Bruges since the 17th century when the - then banished- King Charles II decided to settle in Bruges).
