The museum is devoted to the Battle of the Bulge, the last major counterattack by German forces to stop the progression of Allied troops, in December 1944, which resulted in massive losses and destructions everywhere in the Ardenne region. Live-scale reconstitutions relate the progression of the 1st SS Panzer (Armoured) Division led by General Peiper, and the heroic resistance from the American units who manage to stop the Germans. It also shows rich collections of military badges and maps of the time. The visit is completed by the projection of a film, made using real documents from the Battle of the Bulge. In front of the museum building stands a 'Tiger' tank, the heaviest armoured vehicle used by the Wehrmacht in World War II.
