This old Celtic stronghold dates from 50 B.C.. At the top, you can see a stone bank which was once a fortifying wall, preceded by a ditch crossing your path from one side to another: this wall protected the oppidum on the promontory side, at the foot of which runs a river in a loop.
Two-hundred metres further along, you will see a second wall parallel to the first, also protected by a ditch, connecting the north and south faces of the hill: this wall defended the oppidum on the plateau side.
