Going up via "la Couture", you arrive at the Crête dImbrechies ridge, protected by its castle and the charcoal forest; from this wonderful viewpoint you can see a dozen Belgian and French bell towers. A short walk away, a museum about the war of 40-44 (Lieutenant Cook) has opened up in the barn where the 1st American officer was killed on 2 September 44. A stele has been erected in memory of the 12 US heroes who entered Cendron and fell on the same day on the Crête dImbrechies. Until the end of the Old Regime, Imbrechies was a hamlet of Monceau.
