Dailly was owned by Lobbes Abbey in 869. In 887 Count Erlebold donated the church and its outbuildings to the chapter of Chimay. Pope Lucius III confirmed this donation in 1182. The church was built on the ruins of a castle fort destroyed by the French in1452.
Limestone block building; the roof is made of 17th and 19th-century slates.
It consists of a nave with 4 spans and a choir with 2 spans, with a semi-circular apse at the end. In the 17th century, the church was enlarged and restored. In the 19th century, the choir was built from evenly cut stone blocks and in 1974, the choir was renovated.
