Lost amid a vast forest massif, Brûly-de-Pesche might have been just another dot on the map - but events in the Second World War decided otherwise. On 6 June 1940, Hitler landed at Brûly-de-Pesche with his general staff. He led the French campaign from this spot, which he named "the Wolf's Ravine".
