The Gare de Sivry (Sivry Station) district, as well as part of the hamlet "Lorroir", was part of the municipality of Solre-St-Géry. The whole of Lorroir, quite an extensive area,
enjoyed a degree of independence and towards the end of the 19th century, it appointed its own members to the municipal council of Solre-St-Géry. In 1976, when the municipalities merged,
this hamlet of Solre-St-Géry was incorporated into Sivry-Rance. Moreover, it was much closer to the village of Sivry than to Beaumont. The old station buildings now house
the Centre de dépaysement et de plein air (C.D.P.A - Exploration and Outdoor Centre), which belongs to the Communauté Française (French Community). Lessons in geography, astronomy, climatology, etc. are taught to school groups there.
