The Oise connects the south of the countryside to the Seine basin. It prompted the twinning of the towns of Chimay and Conflans Saint-Honorine, west of Paris: "the source and end of the Oise". Starting off as a simple stream, it crosses the central part of the Forges territory, passing through Macquenoise and then, enlarged by the Wartoise, it enters France.
