This public park was laid out in the heart of the town of Spa in the middle of the 18th century to meet the needs of spa visitors. It was classified in 1977.
Along with the now disappeared 4 o'clock walk it was one of the two main promenades in Spa.
There we find some interesting trees - including a remarkable Fagus - and a pond with a fountain. It is crossed by two counter-alleys planted with hornbeams, lime trees and elms framing its central avenue. It is also home to 19th century buildings that bear witness to the eclectic taste of the time: the Leopold II Gallery, made entirely of iron and glass as well as the Marie-Henriette Pavilion and the Petits Jeux Pavilion.
