Princess Clementine (1872-1955) was the youngest daughter of King Leopold II and Queen Marie-Henriette. She often lived in Spa with her mother. She was a very good horsewoman and regularly rode on the promenade which was named after her. In 1910 she married Prince Victor Napoleon Bonaparte. A stone marker from 1788, engraved FDP (Forêt du Prince), can still be seen here. This was the old boundary that separated the land granted to the villagers from the forests of the Prince-Bishop of Liege.
