You are in front of the entrance to the ancient outbuildings of a castle, with the little house at the back of the yard that is a museum.
Pass under the porch to enter into the courtyard. On your left note the outside stairway pierced by a door, and on your right the old village oven.
The name of the village, Lignières, comes from the word linen because the area was known for the cultivation of flax and its transformation into tissue. All this is detailed in the museum "La Petite Maison du Lin" which can be visited.
Get out of the yard under the porch, turn on your right down along the dependencies. On your left you may notice the watering place. Turn right then left to go into the courtyard of the castle, now the city hall.
