La Cachette

Description

This used to house a hospice for the elderly and destitute children; The nuns fed, nursed and took care of the pensioners. The house was built here to hide the misery and poverty that reigned there. This is why the house is called ‘Cachette’ (hideaway, from the French ‘cacher’ to hide).
