How do I publish trails and points of interest in a community?

When you choose to publish as a community, you "give" your trail / point of interest to the community and no longer own it personally.
These trails / points of interest will no longer appear in your own dashboard but on the community page.
It is not currently possible to recover ownership of a trail / point of interest by yourself that you have "given" to a commun

When you transfer ownership of a trail to a community, remember also to transfer ownership of the points of interest associated to that community if you also want them to be managed by the community's administrators and contributors.
Transferring ownership of a trail / point of interest to a community
To publish trails or points of interest in a community, you must be a contributor or administrator of that community.
Choose to edit the information about the trail / point of interest whose ownership you want to transfer to the community (from your dashboard for example), as explained here for trails: How do I edit a trail?
In the trail / point of interest categorisation page, choose to publish the trail / point of interest as your community.
Also choose the visibility status of the trail / point of interest in the community.
The different visibility statuses available are:
- Everybody (public):
- Visible to everyone, even those people who are not members of your community.
- Editable by community contributors and administrators.
- Community members:
- Visible to community members, contributors and administrators.
- Editable by community contributors and administrators.
- Me only (private):
- Visible only by community contributors and administrators.
- Editable by community contributors and administrators.
- Paying (subscription) (Only for specific professional communities which have this option - Please contact support if you would like to have this option for your community):
- Trail description sheet and points of interest visible to everyone.
- Trail route and trail download only available to those people who have purchased the subscription linked to this community's content, as well as to the community's contributors and administrators.
- Editable by community contributors and administrators.
Transferring ownership of several trails / points of interest to a community in a single operation
- Go to the "Dashboard" section of the website.
- Choose "See table" below the "My trails" or "My points" section.
- In the table, check all the trails / points of interest whose ownership you want to transfer to a community.
You can adjust the number of trails / points of interest displayed per page to allow more to be checked in one operation.
Then, choose "Transfer to one of my communities" in the "Action" m
- Choose the community to which you want to transfer ownership of the checked trails / points of interest and confirm this transfer.
⚠️
When you choose to transfer ownership of several trails /points of interest to a community in this way, the trails retain their status (private or public).
