What is the GeoID offset?

The Geoid offset allows you to adjust the GPS altitude of your device if it indicates a constant offset (e.g. always 50m, etc.)

For most Android devices, this offset is calculated automatically, so you do not need to use it if the GPS altitude returned by your device appears correct.
