My GPS is inaccurate / I can't manage to get an accurate GPS position

Unlike some other applications (Google Maps, etc.) also using inaccurate positioning by triangulation via GSM or WiFi networks, our application mainly uses (and when recording a trail, exclusively) the precise position from the GPS of the device.

If you are unable to obtain or maintain an accurate GPS position, we therefore suspect that there is a malfunction (possibly temporary) of the GPS of your device.

To check this, when the app indicates "Positioning in progress", you can install and launch the free GPS Test application (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=en) to verify that you have a GPS "fix" (po

If not, this means that your device's GPS has not yet been able to obtain a position.

In this case, we advise you to place your device outdoors, still, where it is sufficiently open to the sky to obtain a position.

If the GPS has not been used for several days, it may take several minutes to obtain a GPS position.

If the problem persists, turning off your device, removing the battery for a few minutes (if possible), and then turning it back on again may help to solve this type of problem.

If the problem still persists after that, it is best to reset your device to the factory settings and then contact the manufacturer of your device if the GPS still cannot find or maintain an accurate position.
